The kick-off meeting of the GDA AID activity line on Urban Sustainability will take place on 28 February 2022.
The consortium, led by GAF AG (Germany), includes partners from Austria (Austrian Institute of Technology), the UK (Caribou Space), Germany (DLR), Czech Republic (Gisat) and Italy (Tre Altamira).
This activity line focuses on addressing the main challenges identified together with GDA Institutional Partners in achieving urban sustainability through greater impact and use of EO-based geoinformation, which include:
- Better characterisation of urban sprawl and informal settlements,
- Better characterisation and planning of transport infrastructure,
- Better climate smart and urban resilience,
- Better urban environment and health
- Better data for COVID-19 recovery,
- Better data for sustainable urban planning.
