Webinar: EO for Public Health

International Financial Institutions (IFIs) are increasingly realising the potential use of Earth Observation (EO) for Public Health. However, it is an area that is still not fully understood. To address this gap, the European Space Agency’s (ESA) Global Development Assistance (GDA) programme published a topical overview under the Monitoring & Evaluation and Impact Assessment activity, looking at the value of EO for Public Health by IFIs.
On 18th September a webinar was held with the aim of promoting the use of EO in Public Health by IFIs.  The event featured presentations and panel discussions that highlighted the significant role Public Health plays in development interventions and showcased the value that EO data brings to Public Health.
We were fortunate to be joined by an expert panel Claudia Vitolo, ESA, Lander Bosch The World Bank, Jae Kyoun Kim, Asian Development Bank, Christoph Aubreacht GDA Programme Coorinator and hosted by Catlotta Maucher, Caribou Space.
For those who missed the webinar, a recording of the event can be found here along with some presentations from the day.
This webinar was hosted by Imperative Space and Caribou Space as part of the GDA Monitoring & Evaluation activity.
