In November 2022, Caribou Space and London Economics published a report on behalf of ESA’s Global Development Assistance (GDA) programme called Wider Economic Benefits from Satellite Earth Observation in Developing Countries. This webinar will describe the key findings and conclusions from this report. The impacts of satellite Earth Observation (EO) for sustainable development are well documented, but the wider benefit of EO to developing countries is less understood. To address this gap, the GDA initiated a study under the Monitoring & Evaluation and Impact Assessment activity, with a particular focus on EO’s contribution to ‘digital spillovers’.
