The European Space Agency’s 2022 Living Planet Symposium will take place on 23 – 27 May 2022 in Bonn, Germany, organized with the support of the German Aerospace Center (DLR). Several sessions will be dedicated to International Development Assistance including current and past use cases presented by the GDA team itself as well as GDA partners.
Sessions related to International Development Assistance will be held on Tuesday 24 May 2022 from 8:30 am and include presentations from European EO service industry, namely CLS (France), the National Oceanography Centre (UK), GAF AG (Germany), GMV (Spain), Indra (Spain) and Terradue (Italy). They will present technical developments and use cases conducted under EO4SD as well as GDA.
At 4:30pm, Christoph Aubrecht, GDA Programme Coordinator at ESA, will moderate a panel with representatives from World Bank, Asian Development Bank (ADB), International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA), and the European Association of Remote Sensing Companies (EARSC) to discuss first impact stories from the Global Development Assistance partnership programme.
