In the framework of its long-standing partnership with the Global Development Assistance (GDA) programme, ESA has been invited by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to participate to their annual Southeast Asia Development Symposium (SEADS) 2023.
This year’s theme is “imagining a Net Zero ASEAN” and ESA will take part in the panel “Digital Innovation to Advance a Net Zero Future”, taking place on 30 March 2023 from 14:00 to 15:30 (GMT+8). It will be an opportunity to introduce ESA’s new accelerator “Space for Green Future” (S4GF) as well as some examples on how space can contribute to net zero, coming from initiatives like the GDA programme or its precursor, Earth Observation for Sustainable Development (EO4SD).

This event is the annual flagship of ADB, and 500 people are expected to join in person along with 5000 virtual participants involving governments, UN Deputy Secretary General, International Finance and industry leaders.
