The ExpandEO conference was organised by EARSC, the European Association of Remote Sensing Companies on June 17. A dedicated session on ‘Illustrating country-driven & programmatic demand for satellite EO services from the perspective of International Financial Institutions’ was moderated by ESA and included contributions from four current and prospective GDA partner institutions namely WB, ADB, AfDB and IFAD.
In its press release of the event, EARSC mentioned that ‘it has been highlighted that EO provides a wide range of different types of information that are key to the effective planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of Development Assistance activities‘.
