DESCRIPTION:Understanding Risk Global Forum\, an initiative of the Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GDFRR) administered by the World Bank\, will take place between the 28th of November and 2nd of December 2022.  The main venue will be hosted in Florianopolis (Brazil) but satellite hubs will also be in place as well as remote-events at various time zones.\n\nA dedicated session on the GDA programme is planned in order to highlight outcomes related to Disaster Resilience activities taking place in the framework of the ESA/WB partnership.

DESCRIPTION:The objective of this webinar is to present and discuss the nature of World Bank EO-related procurement opportunities and modalities to access them. This event will offer EO service providers the opportunity to better understand the existing regulation that governs WB procurements\, the eligibility criteria\, the steps to follow\, and the constraints or processes specific to EO-related procurements. In addition\, the speakers will provide general guidelines and advice on the best ways to approach those opportunities as well as the recent patterns and the evolution in the type of EO-related products and services that are being procured. Speakers will include Alex Chunet\, ESA Representative to World Bank; Bwalya Mumba\, World Bank Procurement Specialist; and Benjamin Stewart\, Senior Geographer\, World Bank.
