SUMMARY:EO4SD wrap up event: marine resources
DESCRIPTION:Satellite Earth Observation (EO) technology has major potential to inform and facilitate international development work in a globally consistent manner. This event will focus on the marine resources component of the initiative through the presentation of several successful use cases followed by a discussion on lessons and insights in order to inform the way forward with the new phase of the partnership – and in particular\, its core component\, the Global Development Assistance program.\nChair\nChristian Peter\, Acting Global Director\, Environment\, Natural Resources & Blue Economy Global Practice (ENB GP)\nSpeakers\nAlex Chunet\, European Space Agency Representative to the World Bank\n\nTania Casal\, European Space Agency Technical Officer for Marine Resources & Blue Economy\n\nChristine Sams\, EO4SD-Marine Consortium Lead\, Science Impact\, and Applications Lead at National Oceanography Centre\nPanelists\nPeter Kristensen\, Lead Environmental Specialist\n\nNagaraja Rao Harshadeep\, Lead Environment Specialist\n\nChristian Severin\, Senior Water Specialist\n\nJulien Million\, Senior Fisheries Specialist\nDiscussants\nIdriss Deffry\, Environmental Specialist (TBC)\n\nJoao Moura\, Natural Resources Management Specialist (TBC)
